Who are we, after all?
Well, I divide us into two main groups.
The ones who impatiently switch channels when ads come on, hang up the phone whenever a robot calls, and throw away junk mail as norm.
The ones who call in the next 10 minutes to buy the miraculous pill endorsed by some washed up ex-governor before stocks run out, spend time talking to robots on the phone, and gather mail coupons. Wisdom dictates most in the first group are Democrats and most in the second group are not.
Why is this relevant? Polls.
Most Democrats do not answer polls, most others do. Whatever the method, chances are most Democrats are not included in polling initiatives, while everyone else is heavily represented. So this gives conservatives a big advantage in polling? Nope. It gives everyone who is not a Democrat a big advantage.
This is why Democratic issues and candidates sometimes are ahead in the polls.
Truth is, and forgive the hyperbole, you only need two buses to fit all Democrats and all Republicans. One for each party. The rest will rather walk. So polls mean shit. What matters is talking to your friends who talk with their friends, volunteering as you can, getting out to vote! And when the time comes, not wasting it.
Fuck pollsters and their polls.
VOTE! (Wisely.)
