What? Oh, not much, just the Richest Man in the World continuing to push fascist agenda items like the notion that immigrants, asylum seekers, are less than human, equating them to animals carrying sickness.
You know the guy I'm talking about, right? Or have you forgotten since leaving Twitter? "Out of sight, out of mind"? I ask because not only has he acquired an enormous megaphone (Twitter) that he uses daily to broadcast the fascist ideals he openly embraces but he's also essentially placed into a position where he's in charge of the US space program. You know, running supplies up to the ISS, placing highly classified and sensitive equipment, many with military objectives, in orbit, that kinda stuff.
And let's not forget his own efforts to broaden the reach of his belief system by placing thousands of satellites (4,519 as of July) up in space which he's recently limited the use of in his efforts to assist Russia in its war of aggression against Ukraine. And who can forget Tesla & how the EV industry has painted itself into a corner where it finds itself relying on this man for essential services like charging stations and other basic logistical EV support.
My point being:
We ignore the Richest Man in the World at our own peril.
Left to his own devices his reach and the power he already abuses will only grow and we, as citizens, have a responsibility to demand action from our government (you know, the one relying on him for the things I've already mentioned?) to see to it that doesn't happen because do we really want the Richest Man in the World, a man who pushes the kinds of fascist ideals that he's now openly embracing and broadcasting to his millions of fans, to become The Most Powerful Man in the World?
Do we? Or is this just me worrying about nothing?
"Out of sight, out of mind", right?
